French toast with maple syrup & marscapone. Palm Beach.
Breakfast at the boathouse in Palm Beach yesterday.
I apologise for the small amount of food left on the plate - we were so hungry and entranced by the french toast that we dived straight in. A soft brioche, lightly fried, with strawberries, blueberries, marscapone and maple syrup. And I was disappointed that my favourite brekkie was off the menu.
It was stunning. Now I just need to work out how to replicate this at home.
We caught Palm Beach at its best, for winter anyway. Sydney brought us a beautiful 20 degree day. We climbed up to Barrenjoey lighthouse - so worth the 30 minute hike.
